COVID-19 Precautions

Reading Time: Just Under 2 minutes

As a member of our Bodhi Heart community, I wanted to reach out to you with an update on COVID-19 and the steps we are taking to keep our clients and our entire community healthy and safe. Your well-being is central to our purpose and our top priority as we join communities around the world responding to the current global health challenge.

CDC Best Practices for COVID-19

We are proud that so many of you consider our Studio a safe space where your wellness journey is supported, and we want that to continue, so we have taken many proactive steps to maintain the healthiest possible environment. In accordance with guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), we are cleaning our spaces thoroughly and frequently. We follow the CDC’s best practices, including frequent hand-washing and disinfecting surfaces, to keep ourselves and others safe. We encourage you to do the same, so please review the most up-to-date information here.

Temperature Checks

We also recommend that you do temperature checks twice a day. If you are running a fever (a temperature above 100 degrees) it is better to stay home, rest and not put others at risk. In such a case please cancel your session.

Sessions Continuing as Normal

Currently, all sessions are continuing as normal for now, but we will avoid the Rolfing Studio if we have any concerns about exposure, or at the slightest sign of illness. We ask you to do the same.

We will be closing for Buddhist study and retreat  March 24th through April 1st, and we might extend this period in light of current events.

Meditation for a Healthy Immune System

We are also considering teaching a phone-based meditation class on boosting your immune system. The class will focus on best practices for reducing stress and anxiety to stay healthy. We will likely be sending details on that class shortly. Meanwhile, our Meditation Kit is always here to support you.

Also, if you find yourself with more time to read, you might benefit from Dr. Amit Sood’s Guide to Stress-Free Living, published by the Mayo Clinic.

Those affected by COVID-19

Finally, let me say that our hearts go out to all those affected by COVID-19 (Coronavirus). I want you to know that you are in my thoughts. Bodhi Heart is about your healing journey and it is also about community.

Look out for updates from us as we navigate this evolving situation, and thank you for being a part of our Bodhi Heart Community.
